2012 JRace Regulations and information

JRace Huntly Livestock Exchange 14 July 2012

What is JRace?

JRace is a FREE Junior Development Program (JDP) for people aged between 12 and 18 years old.

JRace is a 4 session program that aims to progress participant’s skill acquisition and discipline difficulty with each session. The program is designed to equip juniors with the basic skills required to compete in motorsport events. The program will teach the basics of car operation and controls in a low speed environment.

As the program progresses the JRace drivers will learn to accelerate, brake and steer through practical tests designed to increase driving skills. The objective is for JRace drivers to be able to safely and confidently drive a car and compete in motorkhanas at the end of the JRace program. Most of Australia’s top touring car and open wheeler race drivers started in motorkhanas, so who knows where this may lead you……..

When and Where?

CAMS has arranged with the Victorian Motorkhana Panel, the Holden Sporting Car Club and the Bendigo Car Club to run two pilots of the JRace program at rounds 5 and 8 of the 2012 NGK Victorian Motorkhana Championship that are being held at the Huntly Saleyards in Bendigo. Entries are now open for the first two sessions, to be held on Saturday the 14th of July. The third and fourth sessions will be held on Saturday 22nd September.
