Another way to enjoy motorsport is to help out as an official, it is also a great way to gain skills in event management and travel the world. CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motor Sport) provides a number of training courses and programs to accredit volunteer officials to ensure officials have the correct knowledge and skill set required for the role they perform. All CAMS Accredited Official Training Modules are endorsed by the Australian Sports Commission under the National Officiating Accreditation Scheme and CAMS officials are often requested to help out at events all over the world.
You can start out at club events with some basic instruction and work your way right up to running international events like the World Rally Championships or Formula One.
